Palimpsests

—To scrape clean and use again—

These works consist of 25 years of salvaged drawings, sketches, photographs and personal documents such as birth certificates, marriage vows and household bills, from my flood damaged New Orleans home and combining them with xerox, ink and wax. Their archival qualities now suspended created a state of limbo from the surrounding chaos lapping my feet.
